Regulatory context

In the EU and EEA, card programmes run through licensed e-money institutions, and crypto-asset service providers are authorised under the MiCA regulation. A card offered “in the EEA” may still exclude individual countries.

General information, not legal advice. A card being offered in a country doesn’t mean every resident will be approved.

Frequently asked questions

Which crypto cards can I get in the European Economic Area?

According to the issuers’ own documents: Crypto.com Card, Nexo Card, Bitget Wallet Card, COCA Card, Coinbase Card, Kraken Card (Krak), Ledger CL Card, Revolut Card, Tuyo Card, XPlace Card. With restrictions: ether.fi Cash, Bybit Card, Trade Republic Card, Bitpanda Card, MetaMask Card, OKX Card, Oobit, RedotPay, Wirex Card.

What does “Not verified” mean?

The issuer’s published documents don’t say whether the card can be issued there. It is not a yes: check with the issuer before applying.

Can an issuer still refuse me?

Yes. Availability lists describe where a card is offered; each issuer runs its own checks and can decline any applicant.
