Card spending with Plutus is paused while it moves to a new banking partner: Plutus’s February 2026 FAQ says new cards are coming, and its EEA terms say cards are temporarily unavailable. We don’t include it in rankings until the card is live again.source
Not usable as a card right now, so new users should wait until Plutus confirms the new card is live. Even then it mainly suits people who already hold PLU and don’t mind a monthly fee for capped, in-app rewards.
Score breakdown
How we read the terms: Starter plan (£/€6.99 a month), which Plutus’s terms require for a card; virtual card free, 2.5% FX. Base is 0% because free mode earns no rewards; 9% needs a paid plan plus 40,000 PLU stacked.
Preliminary score: criteria marked “Not scored” are left out and their weight is shared among the rest. How scores are calculated.

Overview
Plutus, the trading name of Block Code Ltd, offers a Visa debit card provided by a banking partner it doesn’t name. You top it up with pounds or euros. Rewards are PLUS points, which Plutus plans to turn into tokens on the Base network.
Every plan starts at 3% on capped monthly spend. Higher Reward Levels, unlocked by stacking PLU in your own wallet, lift that to 9%. In February 2026 Plutus said it had ended its contract with Modulr and that card spending will resume once a new partner is live.
We haven’t run a hands-on test of this card; this review is based on the issuer’s published documents linked on this page.

Plutus Card: common questions
Can I use the Plutus Card right now?
Not for spending. Plutus’s February 2026 FAQ says card spending is paused during its banking-partner migration, and its EEA terms say cards are temporarily unavailable.
Does Plutus pay cashback in crypto?
Not directly. Since May 2025 rewards are PLUS points that stay in the app and can’t be withdrawn; Plutus says they’ll later become tokens on Base. Its terms say the rewards shouldn’t be considered cashback.
